Bare Walls & Empty Floors

The house is empty :-)
St. Vincent de Paul dropped off the truck again this morning; thankfully, because our stuff did not even come close to all fitting in the first load.
Then, that's it. Last stuff gone tonight.

So much has happened in the last few days that I haven't been able to write about.
For all of you trying to keep up with us, I promise a bunch of catch up posts as soon as we hit the road next week!

We have been showered in love and kindness from friends and virtual strangers alike. I don't know how we could've done all that we have without the help and support we've had!

We'll be hitting the road for Longview, TX very soon, then up to Wyoming, so if you're between Longview and Wyoming drop us a line. We'd love to meet you!
As we go I'll try to update our general direction and make a plan to include those of you who have extended invitations. Meeting people is the whole point of this blog, afterall!

I'll work on a slightly less disjointed writing style for the next post ;-)
My brain is still in the land of work and details....looking forward to bringing it back around to the moment and the beautiful future!

I wanted to take a moment to wish yall the best in this new step in your life. I hope that you will continue blogging because I am very interested in the transition.

We are thinking about buying 5 acres and building a small cabin next summer with the intention of becoming self-sufficient in the near future.

Can you recommend any good books/resources for herbal medicines and stuff? I got Mono about 3 years ago and my immune system has never been the same.

Darn! Too bad you aren't passing through Phoenix. I would have loved to have met such an inspiring couple. :-) Best wishes to you and your family as you embark on this exciting journey.

I've been reading your blog for a while now and am very interested in your journey. I am sending good vibes your way and look forward to hearing all about your family's adventures on the road.

My husband & I have been transitioning to a "less stuff - more life" way of living over the last year and this notion of becoming a bit of a wanderer is intriguing to me.

Best Wishes!

I'm sad...
I don't even know why...
am I jealous or lonely for you as very dear new friends - indeed soulmates, who I know will never be too far from me really...

wow... is all I have to say...

I guess it's been too long since I met such great friends... so much love exudes from you both... and you're also real and down to earth at the same time...

I'm so very glad Claire and I got the chance to meet you before you left...

Until we meet again, I will miss you both... thank you for You!

Cynthia,
tears streaming

Good luck with your new adventure. This is a beautiful country to explore. We sold our home and sold or gave away all our belongings in 2000 and never looked back. Wish we had done it sooner,. The price of diesel is beginning to hurt though! Best wishes to you all. Dawn

I drove by your house this morning hoping to help you in some way. I get the daily digest from the Attached Parenting group and saw the message that you might need some help on your last day here. I was one day too late. An older woman was digging through your boxes and so happy to find cups and plates. Your garden looks beautiful and strong. I can almost see you as I look at the windows and see the stickers and a couple toys here and there.

Good luck on your journey. I will be keeping up with your blog as I have added it to my favorites!

Many smiles, Ginny
