Because Jeff and Aimee have decided to become starving artists!

Where becoming starving artists equals Jeff's company deciding that they just couldn't be bothered to pay us this pay period. Because they can.

This comes on the heels of us losing our health, vision and dental insurance with no warning... where losing all of our benefits equals frantically calling dentists on a holiday weekend to find someone willing to check Quinn's teeth as an emergency... where emergency equals loss of benefits...in a couple of hours...

Also where losing all of our benefits in September means that having waited 21 of the 24 months between eye-glasses coverage equals no new eye glasses to replace the broken ones we have... because hey they can.

So, as the American economy tanks, and even small businesses begin to sell their integrity along with their assets, Cage Free Family begins to take a long hard look at what being a starving artist might look like, because this week... it looks like starving.
