Warmed milk steeped with vanilla, cinnamon, and honey

Freshly ground peanuts and almonds, mixed with rich, salted butter and honey for dipping tart, sliced apples in... easily accomplished with a food chopping blender or food processor.

Crafting a worn, old paper lantern into something ever so much more fun and whimsical...can't wait to plug it in when it's done!

A pile of children's books and my medicine wheel study materials
Jeff's out amending soil, hauling rocks, and checking on the waterfall after the heavy rains we had. The elk were out in huge numbers. We counted more than 30 and couldn't see how many were in the trees. The recent snow and rain has brought back the greeness to all of the trees and has the ground sporting a new crop of grass and dandelions.
What are you up to this spring? Or whatever season you are in in your space of the globe...

Heh... I'm laying in my bed with my broken ankle propped on a pillow, thankful that the windows are open and I'm getting sun and fresh air that way. ;) I'm also preparing for a move to a new house, with 5 acres of our very own land. I've sprouted a few things indoors (tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, cucumbers) to give us a head start when we move, but this year we'll have mostly a container garden. It's too dangerous for me to hobble on crutches or cast on uneven ground. But by the fall I'll be able to, and we'll create our raised beds and amend them and have them all ready for next spring! Oh, and I'm finishing up my manual and such for my ordination in June.
We're enjoying a couple of true springy days. It's been mostly too cold, with a few too hot days mixed in. But we already have some greens we've been harvesting, and asparagus and growing peas. We're excited to get more into the ground soon. Last night I sat outside and watched the chickens peck around the yard. It smelled like wysteria and lilacs. Yum. I need a good food processor. Do you have any smoothie recipes you'd like to share?
I have some pictures on my family blog at http://figtreefarm.blogspot.com/ if you want to see the wysteria. But please don't post this comment. Thanks.
I'm clearing clutter and paring down to the bare basics. I can't wait to free myself from my STUFF and get outta Dodge.
