On Christmas Eve our family gets dressed up and we each open one present. The present is always a soft new pair of pajamas, and everyone is always thrilled.
Most of us still had a head cold and stomach virus, so it was a pretty mellow evening. We missed the festivities at the Pueblo, and accidentally burned the dinner that no one felt well enough to eat, but it was a nice night none the less.
Here are a few pictures from our evening.
For some reason, whenever I try to take a picture of Simone, this is one of her first poses. It's something she does a lot. It's ever so fun when she's curled up on the mat in front of the stove while I'm trying to make dinner ;-p
A lesson finally learned: Don't ask children to smile for a picture unless you want them all making the same goofy face for the rest of the pictures!
Youngest first! This year Quinn devised some sort of "fair" method for picking who got to open the first gift, but at the last minute decided that it was most "fair' for the youngest to go first. Sweet kid, that one.
Nichola couldn't get her present open because the tape was so well adhered to the box. Quinn finally had to open it with his pocket knife, and was ever so careful to not open the box and spoil it for her.
All cozy in their new PJs. The girls went straight to bed (awaiting Santa), and Quinn stayed up to help finish wrapping, fill stockings, and write a letter to the girls from Santa's elf.
