How weird, I just looked and it can't be you that came over because it was last year and the Quinn who visited my house was only a year old - and his mama was named Aimee! Crazy. Well, anyway, I'm glad I found the blog, maybe we really will cross paths one day - hubby, babe, and I love to travel - I spent three months one summer living in one all along the west coast - from southern California to Washington.

Aimee!! You might remember me, you and Quinn came over to my house for an AP playdate once when you were in Austin. You had Quinn with you and another little baby boy, and we all sat in the room with mamas and babies hanging out. I really liked you a lot, and was recently wondering why I never see you on the Austin AP stuff. Wowza, look where you are! How amazing. Your family is beautiful wonderful and I hope the new little one feels better so soon.

I found your blog from a friends blog. My husband is from Austin and also a techie! The choice your family made to live unattached and travel is something we always thought we would do when we had kids. Then we had kids...and it didn't work out for us that way. We also have 3 kids (the 3rd being kinda a surprise). I love the pictures you post...my family is from Taos, and I have never been. You capture just what I thought it would look like.

I don't remember how I found your blog but it was when you had just finished renovating the motor home and were setting off for grand adventures. I've always fantasized about doing just that so I was living vicariously through you. I've continued to read because I admire the life you and your family are living and I enjoy your writing. I also have a young red haired son named Quinn and two younger daughters so that's pretty neat too. :)

I've only been reading your blog for about a week now, but it's so interesting I spent quite a bit of my work day rolling through back posts! :) I got here via the Walk Slowly Live Wildly blog post where the two of you met up. I first contacted you about your video on fibromyalgia just before you left Austin. Since then I've been "lurking" as well, always feeling that maternal concern when you don't post for awhile.

Now I have moved to Austin -- I have family here and also lived here in the late 1970s and early 1980s -- and I'm looking into sustainable, less consumer oriented living.

Um...I don't have much to say, but I do read your blog regularly. I found it linked from Enchanted Gypsy's blog.
I'm really inspired by the simplifying you've done with your life and I am a little envious. We try to simplify, but still work regular jobs, have a mortgage, etc. We'll keep working on it.

Yep, I've been reading every post since the NY Times article and it's been a joy. I'm jealous of those beautiful places you inhabit and your family is lovely. I recently shook off the world of cubicles and I'm trying to free my mind and experiences from the clutch of corporate America; in that way your stories give me hope. I have my own nascent blog - mainly a public record of me trying to complete things I've always wanted to do or learn things that I've always wanted to learn.
